The Black Lives Matter movement is resonating with many of our members and Australian corporations here in the United States. The Australian Community is therefore taking an active role in fundraising to help overcome Inequality.
The money raised will go to conditional grants supporting Education and Mentoring programs that assist disadvantaged high school students; because Black Lives Matter to Australians.
In 2011 The Australian Community established an Education program as part of its 501(c)(3) charitable activities. As a result, our Education program has supported charities here in New York. Specifically, charities that provide mentoring and after school activities for disadvantaged high school students.
In 2016 The Australian Community began engaging with the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience. In 2020 A.I.M.E. is now actively mentoring black high school students in New York. Through its highly effective mentoring program, more disadvantaged high school students can graduate, and go onto College.
Our Proven Fundraising Track Record.
In the first five months of 2020, The Australian Community raised more than $500,000.00 for Australian Bushfire relief. Donations to our Disaster Relief Fund have been sent to Australia in the form of conditional grants.
WIRES, Wildlife Warriors, the NSW Regional Fire Service and the Country Fire Authority of Victoria have all agreed to providing Grant Use Reports. These reports are shared though our social media, assuring our supporters that their donations have made a positive impact.
Similarly, donations made to our Education Fund will be distributed in the form of conditional grants. This assures our members and supporters that their donations are making a positive impact on overcoming Inequality.
The Australian Community has proven its fundraising capabilities by raising and distributing more than $100,000 in conditional Grants per month. The Australian Community can now focus its charitable activities to support the Black Lives Matter movement, and we need your support!
Black Lives Matter – Doing more than just posting to Social Media.
Many of our members want to see Australian corporations do more than just post to their social media. They want to see the creation of programs that overcome Inequality. They want to donate, but are unsure of where to send money.
You can now make a U.S. tax deductible donation to our Education Fund. The money raised will go to organizations that overcome Inequality through Education and Mentoring.
As a charitable organization we represent a large percentage of Australians living in the Greater New York area. The Australian Community’s fundraising goal is to first assist in overcoming Inequality in black communities through Education and Mentoring.
In the process, our goal is also to highlight the contributions of Australians to the Black Lives Matter movement.
